Established by Faye and Rendell Webb of Corpus Christi to help needy students fund their college educations. Eligible students must study education or engineering.
Amount:
$1000/two available (recipients may re-apply for additional years, but will be in competition with new graduates for the award.)
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
graduate from Miller or Moody high school, with a preference for students who attended Los Encinos, Lamar or Lozano elementary schools for at least one year;
Education majors must attend college in the state of Texas. Preference is given to Elementary Education majors who attend Del Mar College, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi or Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Engineering students may attend any college or university;
be deserving students with a GPA of 85 percent or better;
maintain a 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and complete at least 12 credits per semester.
